AGRICULTURE: CULTIVATION OF SWEET POTATOESContributing to the nutrition of the Burundian population, achieving food self-sufficiency, is the goal of the Cibitoke diaspora. A large field of sweet potatoes has been cultivated in the municipality of Mabayi, more precisely in Nyarure. From a distance, you can see a beautiful green carpet that decorates the landscape of the Nyarure valley. Weeding work is well underway. It should be noted that the harvest is scheduled for June at the latest.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RADIO CDN BOARD OF DIRECTORS
On February 17, 2024, Cibitoke Diaspora Network has just established a new Board of Directors of the Radio CDN-Ijwi Rya Cibitoke project. This board is in charge of the daily monitoring of the activities of the Radio. It is a team of 9 people.

This is a project for the construction of the headquarters of our organization.
It is a project that will be financed with the participation of members, the funds generated by several ongoing projects and, of course, bank loans.

Participation in the reconstruction of the Nyamitanga Bridge
The RN5 road was interrupted during the 1994 war and has not been reopened since then. The CDN’s desire is to see the Nyamitanga bridge open again. This can be done first through the awareness of all people and then through the contribution in the purchase of the construction materials of this bridge. We can build a modern bridge in Nyamitanga.
BUILDINGS
A construction project is being completed. A two-storey building will be erected in the Grand Place of Cibitoke Province. It is a building that will host the various projects of the association CDN.
FUNDRAISING FOR DISABLED CHILDRENA fundraiser is being organised to help disabled children.
