As part of the implementation of his project "UMUKENYEZI IMBERE", which translates into "women at the forefront of the community development scene", Radio CDN La voix de Cibitoke spoke with some members of some cooperatives in self-financing operating in the municipality of Mugina. This interview focused on the role and added value of women in family and community development. The aim is to raise women’s awareness of investing more in income-generating activities in order to be financially independent.
Participants in this programme say that women play no less important role in promoting the family and community economy. And they invite the entire population to go beyond certain socio-cultural norms and certain behaviors of men that hinder the economic development of women.
